Rucola + Mozzarella Salad

YUMMY YUMMY SALAD

Hey peeps! Today's recipe will be this simple and yummy rucola + mozzarella salad. To be perfectly honest, I'm one of those people that HATES vegetables. I'm fine when other people prepare it for me, but if I have to prepare it myself, I wouldn't do it. But yeah, once in a while when my logic kicks in, I realize that I still need to eat vegetables. So my last resort is always a salad - it's simple, cheap, healthy, fast and you can mix it with anything you want! Try this simple recipe but super duper yumyum!

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Mozzarella cheese (It's sold in bags with 1 cheese in each bag)
  • Rucola
  • 1 Tomato
  • Balsamic vinegar (Balsamico)
  • 1 tea spoon Sunflower seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Directions:

  • Cut the tomato and mozzarella cheese in small pieces, put it on a plate
  • Throw in a handful of rucola and a small amount of sunflower seeds (appx. 1 tea spoon)
  • Put in a pinch of salt and a bit of pepper
  • Put in the balsamic vinegar according to your taste. Take note that balsamic vinegar has a really strong sour taste so if this is your first time trying it, just put a little bit first. For me personally, I like my salad with a lot of balsamic vinegar because then the mozzarella cheese absorbs the vinegar. yummy.

Good luck trying, and I'm sure you won't burn the kitchen down with this recipe. I hope.

Nutella Hot Chocolate

HELLO WINTER SAVIOR!

This nutella hot chocolate milk is to die for! Super yummy and perfect to keep you warm in this winter time. Do not - I repeat- do not blame and come looking for me if you can't stop drinking it. My information is private. I think.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of milk (you can use whatever milk you want, I use half and half)
  • 3 tablespoon Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon high-quality cocoa powder (for the best taste! but of course, if your budget is limited, just use any cocoa powder)
  • Marshmallows (I use TONS of marshmallows, but it's all up to you)
  • Pinch of espresso powder (optional)
Directions:
  • In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over a low flame, whisk together the milk, Nutella, cocoa powder, and espresso (if using).
  • Add cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Simmer about 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
That's it! Now you can sit by your window and watch the snow falls with a cup of hot Nutella  hot chocolate with you.

PS. for guys, this is the perfect heart-stealer for girls!

Good luck trying, and I'm sure you won't burn the kitchen down with this recipe. I hope.

FYI:

For the Indonesian recipes that I posted, I also have the Indonesian translation.

It's funny that when I was still in Indonesia I adored foreign foods so much, and now that I'm abroad I can't stop thinking-cooking-eating Indo food. hmmm.. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side ;)
